Transformers Universe: Showcase of Stunning Artworks. Part 2

Originally “Transformers” is a series of toys of the American company “Hasbro” and Japanese company “Takara”. When they became very popular, the work on animation tv series and comics began. It’s an incredibly popular entertainment franchise that with time developed from a toy line into comic books, animation, video games and films.
The well-known “Generation 1” includes both the animated TV series The Transformers and the comic book series, which are further divided into Japanese and British spin-offs, accordingly. Later on there were also sequels, such as the Generation 2 comic book and Beast Wars TV series, which also became its own mini-universe.

The first live-action film about Transformers was released in 2007, with a sequel in 2009, a second sequel in 2011, and a third sequel is expected in 2014. In Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and Transformers: Dark of the Moon the newest technologies were used in the area of the computer graphics that allowed obtaining unprecedented realism and epic atmosphere.

Film noir is French expression for “black film”. It is a film term which characterizes a certain cinematic period that took place from the early 1940s and lasted something about to the late 1950s. This period in movie industry reflects the pessimism and cynical attitudes of American society during the WWII and early years of the Cold War. As a rule it was a period of stylish Hollywood crime dramas, which contained a criminal plot, gloomy atmosphere of cynical fatalism and pessimism, elimination of the edge between a hero and antihero, relative realism of action and dark illumination of the scene, usually night. Later on, film noir was incarnated in the films of various well-known directors and a fashion for noir films periodically came back to life.
