Skeuomorphism is an implication of imitation of some textures from real things in digital interfaces when creating applications. This effect gives the user a feeling that he experiences something from the real life, but in another way. The best example of it is a texture of a paper book. When turning a digital page of an application you get the feeling of reading a physical book.
